FORESTBURG — The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks took a 3-0 victory over the Howard Tigers in Class “B” action Monday night at Forestburg.
Set scores for the Blackhawks were 25-22, 25-19 and 25-17. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket improved its season record to 10-7 with the win, while Howard dropped to 6-9 on the season.
Brooke Doering hit 12 kills, Kaylee White served three aces, while Morgan Schmiedt added three more for the Blackhawks.
Emma Rudebusch had two aces, Piper Thompson added one and four kills for Howard.

HIGHMORE — The Highmore-Harrold Pirates volleyball team swept Wessington Springs, 3-0, Monday night at Highmore.
Set scores for the Pirates were 25-19, 25-23, and 26-24. Highmore-Harrold improved to a season record of 11-10, while Wessington Springs fell to 5-12 on the season.
Haley Husted recorded 19 kills for the Pirates to lead all players, while Letha Jessen served two aces and one more each were added by Grace Knox and Husted.
Leading Wessington Springs was Grace Gran with two aces, Makayla Dornbusch added one more, while four kills were made by Piper Jones.
Miller 3, Kimball-White Lake 0
MILLER — The Miller Rustlers thumped the Kimball-White Lake WildKats, 3-0, in Class “A” volleyball action Monday night at Miller.
The Rustlers improved their season record to 21-2 with the win as the WildKats fell to a record of 7-12 after the loss. Set scores for Miller were 25-7, 25-15, and 25-13.
Kadye Fernholz led Miller with 16 kills and one ace, while VonnaGail Schlechter had six kills and an ace for the team.
Alison Sinclair hit four kills while Grace Konechne had three kills in losing efforts for the WildKats.
Miller’s junior varsity team recorded a 2-0 win for an improved record of 8-3, as Regan DeBoer served two aces and hit four kills.
The “C” game was also won by Miller, with 25-14 and 25-13 set scores and a 10-0 season record. Abbi Blake had three aces and six kills to lead the team.
