SIOUX FALLS — Beverly Jean Horsley, 85, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Wessington Springs, passed away Sunday October 7, 2018, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday October 13, at the Foothills Bible Fellowship Church in Wessington Springs. Burial will be in the Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church with a time of sharing at 7 p.m.
Beverly Jean Monroe was born November 30, 1932, in Wessington Springs to Rawson and Esther (Curl) Monroe. She graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1951, and received her teaching certificate by attending summer school. She was united in mariage to Gerald Horsley September 20, 1953. They lived on a farm northwest of Wessington Springs. She moved to Sioux Falls in 2015 to be closer to her children.
She is survived by her children, Allen (Susie) Horsley of Lakewood, Colo., Linda (Joe) Haynes of Mitchell, Duane (Kris) Horsley of Carroll, Iowa, Gary (Rhonda) Horsley of Tea, and Janet (Duane) Anderson of Sioux Falls; sixteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sister, Delores; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; twin brothers, Darrell and Darwin; and granddaughter Abby Horsley.
