HURON — Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) honored its March Exceptional Employee of the Month, Barb Reilly, with a reception on March 14.
Reilly, who has worked in housekeeping for nearly 12 years, was nominated by co-workers to receive the honor.
According to nominating co-workers, “Barb always has a smile on her face and a positive attitude.”
“When the medical floor is busy with lots of patients, Barb makes sure nursing staff have all they need and patient rooms are cleaned quickly and efficiently,” the nomination form continued. “Barb always shows respect to both patients and nursing staff.”
HRMC’s Exceptional Employee of the Month award recognizes an employee who goes above and beyond to exceed expectations.

Employees can be nominated by other employees or by a patient or visitor who witnesses exceptional service. A committee of employees from various hospital departments chooses the employee on a monthly basis and an Exceptional Employee of the Year is chosen at year-end from the 12 monthly honorees.
As March exceptional employee, Reilly received a reception with family, friends and co-workers, a meal certificate to a local restaurant, a professional photo session and portrait, $50, a lapel pin and a special parking place for a month.
Prior to joining the HRMC team, Reilly worked at SunQuest Village in Huron.
She and her husband, Dale, farm south of Iroquois. They have three grown children, Travis (Nicole) of Denver, Colorado, Shannon (Scott) Johnson of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and Crystal (Tyler) Blair of Casper, Wyoming. They also have six grandchildren, Mikayla, Quinn, Ryan, Cameron, Braxton and Reagan.
In her spare time, Reilly enjoys helping her husband on the farm, reading and visiting her family.
Patients or visitors can nominate an exceptional employee by calling 353-6539 for a nomination form or via e-mail at hr@huronregional.org.
