To the Editor:
So, apparently the city has $800K burning a hole in its pocket and they’re having a hard time figuring out how to spend it. Otherwise they wouldn’t be considering spending $800K on some rocks.
A couple of ideas here.
First, why don’t we just ask some of our farmer friends to bring in some rocks. I’m sure they have plenty they wouldn’t mind getting rid of and I’m sure they would be happy to do it for half.
Second, take the $400K left over and give it to the county for use on some real projects that need to be addressed and then the commissioners won’t have to raise everyone’s taxes.
Now everyone’s happy.
