“We did a great job tonight of keeping possession of the ball,” said Huron coach Leah Branaugh. “I was a bit worried as we haven’t played a game since Sept. 2, but the boys’ did a great job.”
Huron started slowly, getting a goal from Baht Khim to take a 1-0 lead to the half.

But in the second half, Huron began to roll, as Baht Khin scored twice and Wanney So added another goal in the first few minutes of the half. Kler Hae, Thai Say and Angelo Pa Kae closed the scoring for Huron, with three goals in seven minutes. Recording assists in the game were Wanney So, Thai Say (2) Baht Khin (2), Rogelia Sanchez Perez and Daniel Carabantes Miranda.
Sanchez Perez led the defense with five saves.
“The second half was one of our better halves this season,” Branaugh said. “We are getting into our busy stretch of the season with three games next week and two the week after. I was really proud of the team and everyone saw playing time tonight.”
The boys’ JV team forged a 2-2 tie with Harrisburg, while the girls’ varsity team fell 7-0 to Harrisburg.
