HURON — Spring is here, Summer is on its way and it is a good time to get outside, reactivate your senses and learn what is new at The Wetlands.

If you love the outdoors, or are interested in exploring, come and join the Friends of Maga Ta-Hohpi for a fun morning, beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, which is World Migratory Bird Day: Fly a Kite; learn about birds, play a Migratory game, participate in a Scavenger, learn about clouds.

The fun is set for the Maga Ta-Hohpi WPA – eight miles west of Huron on Highway 14, turn north on 392nd Avenue for half a mile to the white buildings and meet in the parking lot

Participants will be outside for the entire event so dress appropriately and wear adequate shoes. To enhance your experience, think about bringing the following a hat, binoculars, field book, camera, note pad, sunglasses, sunscreen, bug spray, and water.

Everyone is invited to attend and there are benches and a restoom along the trail.

RSVP by May 10, by calling Frank at (605)352-5638 or send a message to the Friends of Maga Ta-Hohpi Facebook page.
