To the Editor:
The Huron School District will celebrate South Dakota School Board Recognition Week from February 19-23, joining districts across the state to express gratitude to school board members for their leadership and service to our local school district and community.
This is a great opportunity to recognize our school board for their dedication to our children and our community.
The men and women serving Huron School District, along with their years of service, include:
• Garret Bischoff, 11 Years of Service
This group is responsible for setting the vision and goals for the district and striving to provide a quality education to our students. They also hire quality educators, adopt policies, and evaluate progress while always keeping the best interests of our students in mind.
During School Board Recognition Week, the Huron School District invites students, staff, and community members to participate in thanking its school board members.
As elected leaders, school board members serve as the link between the school and community members. They work tirelessly for our students, staff, and community.
Dr. Kraig Steinhoff
