Kimball-White Lake 61, Wessington Springs 52
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — The Wessington Springs Lady Spartans dug and early hole that proved too deep to get out of Tuesday night, as they dropped a 61-52 non-conference girls’ basketball game to the Kimball-White Lake Wildkats.
K-WL made 27 trips to the line on the night, hitting 21 of the gift shots, while Wessington Springs only hit 10-16, for the difference in the game.
Whitney Hinker hit for 21 points - 10 of them at the line - to pace the Wildkats, while Brooklyn Donald added 10 points and grabbed a game-high eight boards. K-WL climbs to 8-11 with the win.
Cadee Schelske scored 18 points and Maria Alonso chalked up 17 for Wessington Springs. They shared rebounding honors with Jaycee Hohn as each Lady Spartan had five rebounds.
It was the final regular season game for Wessington Springs, 8-12, who will wait to find out who they will play in the semi-finals of District 6B.
