William George Richman was born on July 5, 1948, in Valley City, N.D., to parents George and May (Triebold) Richman.
He grew up in Huron, graduating from Huron High School in 1966. In July of 1967, he joined the Untied States Navy where he served on the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in October of 1969 and returned to Huron to marry Suzanne Moeding on Dec. 5, 1969. From this union, two children were born, Johnny and Tina.
Bill began his working career at Flanery Meats, Huron Dressed Beef and Dakota Pork. He later went to work at Terex and Larson Digging until he no longer could work due to his health.
He loved to hunt pheasants and turkeys. His biggest joy was hunting deer with his son Johnny and granddaughter Karlee. His passion was to be outdoors mowing his yard, working on cars and tinkering with motorcycles. He got the most joy out of working on his 1977 Ford F-150 pickup with his grandson, Boston. When he wasnt working or hunting, he loved to go fishing. He also enjoyed baking, with apple pie being his specialty. He was a very kind-hearted man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him, especially all the gals that were greeted by Bill with hey babe.
