HURON A team of judges met Sunday afternoon to evaluate the current years collection of exhibits in the annual Huron Event Center/Huron Area Arts Council Christmas Tree competition.
Prizes were awarded for Most Beautiful and Most Original in two classes, General and Youth. An over all Best in Show winner was also selected.
Of the five awards, four are repeats from last year. The Best of Show stays with the Youth entry Beadle Bops 4-H Club.
The other Youth winners were Hitchcock-Tulare Elementary School, the Beauty winner for the second year, and Broadland Buddies 4-H Club for Originality, also for the second year.
In the General class, the Huron Area Master Gardeners again took the prize for Originality. Finally, breaking into the ring of winners for 2023 General Beauty was the Huron Garden Club, a long-time participant in the festivities.
Those wishing to express their likes for the exhibit may check them out at the Huron Area Arts Council Facebook page. The trees willl remain on exhibit until January 15.
