Tearing it down to build it back better

The cry Play Ball may be months away, but work on improving the lights at Memorial Ball Park began Tuesday, as the legs of the infield light standards were cut and the tall towers removed.

Other towers are to be removed, with replacements set to arrive later this winter, and new lights are expected to be ready for the first pitch this spring.
