All-Stars shut out Brandon Valley

HURON The Huron All-Stars blanked Brandon Valley 5-0 on Saturday at Bergman Arena to earn its second win in the past three games.

After both teams went scoreless through the opening period, Huron got on the board with an unassisted goal during a short-handed situation by Ethan Busch just over eight minutes in.

Roughly eight minutes later Brecken Glanzer capitalized on a power play to put the All-Stars up 2-0 heading into the final period. He scored on a pass from Busch.

Elliot Hartman would have the first of three goals for Huron in the third period. He scored on a pass from Jack Pedersen.

Glanzer further padded the lead with his second goal of the game on a power play. Monte Bogh and Busch were credited with the assist.

Busch capped the scoring with his second goal of the game on an unassisted shot.

Jack Bales recorded the shutout in the net for the All-Stars. He stopped all 26 shots he faced. Huron managed 25 shots on goal.

The All-Stars, who are now 5-16, will close the regular season with a home game against Sioux Falls West on Feb. 23 at Bergman Arena.
