De Smet 70, Oldham-Ramona-Rutland 34
RUTLAND De Smet, which is ranked No. 3 in Class B, closed the regular season with a 70-34 victory against Oldham-Ramona-Rutland on Friday.

The Bulldogs, who improved to 16-3, led 22-11 after the opening quarter and outscored ORR 20-9 in the second quarter to take a 42-20 lead at the half.

Grant Wilkinson had 19 points to lead four players in double figures for De Smet. Britt Carlson had 13 points, while Trace Van Regenmorter and Tom Aughenbaugh had 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Van Regenmorter also had a team-high eight rebounds to help the Bulldogs to a 33-24 advantage on the boards. Kadyn Fast had six assists.

Brodie Albertson had eight points to lead the Raiders, who are now 4-15. Brayden Hanson and Caden Hijer had seven points each.

Both teams are now off until opening play in the Region 2B Tournament on Feb. 27.

MILLER North Central earned its fifth win of the season with a 50-31 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy on Friday.

Raynor Sprague and Cole Beitelspacher each had 14 points to lead the Thunder to the win. Beitelspacher and Dawson Walz shared the rebounding honors for North Central, with eight boards each. Beitelspacher also had a team-high four steals.

Dominc Kalacinski led Sunshine Bible Academy with nine points and nine rebounds.

Trey Thieman and River Jones had eight and seven points, respectively, for the Crusaders, who are now 1-15.

SBA will close the regular season against Iroquois/Lake Preston on Friday in Iroquois.
