I hope we come up there and put on a good show for the fans in Huron, said Dale Furby, who is the promoter for the 410 MSTS. Its the first time the 410s have been back in a long time, so were hoping to have a good show.

The most recent 410 sprint car event held at the Huron oval was in 2017, when the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Cars made the second of two visits. After winning the first World of Outlaws event at DSFS in 2015, Donny Schatz of West Fargo, N.D., made it two in a row during the 2017 visit.

Previously, the Buffalo Wild Wings Northern Outlaw Sprint Association held a handful of events at the Huron track.
John Lambertz won a pair of NOSA events at DSFS in 2006 and 2008, while Cody Hansen (2011), Lou Kennedy Jr. (2010) and Bob Martin (2009) also recorded wins.

A pair of national level 360 sprint car events were held at DSFS, while the American Sprint Car Series visited the track in 2007 and 2008. The late Jason Johnson, was slated to run at DSFS in 2017, but the event was rained out.

A few of the drivers looking to add their names to the list of sprint car feature winners at the Huron track will be Tyler Drueke of Eagle, Neb.; Brendan Mullen of Grand Forks, N.D.; Mark Dobmeier of Grand Forks, N.D.; Matt Juhl of Team, Ryan Bickett of Ramona and Kevin Ingle of Huron.

Also among the drivers already registered to compete on Saturday is Australian driver Scott Bogucki, who wheels the 10L sprint car for Shane Liebig of Rapid City. He inked a ninth-place finish during an event held April 4 at Knoxville.

I have 16 drivers confirmed so far, but Im expecting between 20-24 cars, Furby said. I think it will create excitement, because it is the first time the 410s have been back here in some time.

The drivers will draw to determine the lineup for the heat races and passing points from the heat races will determine the lineup for the main event.

People just wanting to see who is going to support this new series and that will bring some excitement, Furby said. As long as we have a good show and we can keep building on this, it will bring a new level of excitemint to the Midwest.

I just want to thank the City of Huron and Orville Chenoweth for having us over there, he said.
