HURON Lisa Wolf will be the guest speaker at the Beadle County Democratic Forum Monday, May 20, beginning at 6 p.m.
Wolf has been coordinating the annual Thursday Night in Campbell Park activities for the past several years and has been involved in the event for more than 20 years.
Wolf will present a brief history of the program, which was started by her father Roger Kasa in 1986, and has been an annual part of Huron ever since.
She will give attendees the schedule for the 2024 activities and updates on new developments, including expanded concessions.
Wolf and her committee begin planning in January to line up the entertainers and sponsors for this Huron tradition.
The first evening will by June 13. First up will be a Flag Day presentation by the Huron Elks Lodge. A country group, Full Gallop, will then take the stage. Closing out the evening will be the Mission Essential Brass Group, part of the 147th Army National Guard band out of Mitchell which includes two Huron natives.
The public is welcome to come listen to the exciting things Wolf and the Thursday Night in Campbell Park committee are planning and then stay for dinner.
