Traffic was diverted Friday morning in downtown Huron, as a small SUV ran up the sidewalk on the east side of Dakota Ave., narrowly avoiding a brick planter and striking the support wall between two businesses in the 300 block.
Huron Police Department, Huron Fire and Rescue, along with Huron Ambulance responded to the scene. When officers arrived they found a vehicle that left the roadway and struck the building. Officers are still investigating the circumstances that led to the vehicle leaving the roadway.
