YANKTON The Huron 16U baseball team recorded a sweep against Yankton in a doubleheader on Wednesday.
Huron scored five runs in the third inning en route to a 10-7 victory.
Carter Porisch had three of the nine hits in the game for Huron.
Anderson Porisch added a pair of hits and had two RBIs, while Cooper Bischoff also had a pair of RBIs.
Elijah Shreeve pitched the first six innings, allowing six runs on six hits, with just two of those runs being earned. He had four strikeouts and a walk.
Zach Scheer closed the game with an inning of work, where he allowed one run on two hits with a walk.
After building a 6-0 lead, Huron withstood a five-run seventh inning by Yankton to escape with the victory in the other game. .
Carter Porisch had a pair of hits, including a double, for Huron.
Andernson Porisch also had a pair of hits with two RBIs.
Nolan Stahly fell an out short of a complete game on the mound for Huron. He allowed five runs, all of which were unearned on eight hits, with three strikeouts and a walk.
Carter Porisch came on to get the final out for Huron with a strikeout.
Huron travels to face Brookings at 10 a.m. Saturday in Brookings and then will face Fargo, N.D., at noon on Saturday in Brookings.
