To the Editor:
I had reason to reflect how truly blessed I have been in my life. I have a wonderful loving brother, who not only saved me from drowning in Lake Carthage eons ago, but also a brother who, since I came back to the great state of South Dakota in 2019, never gave up on me to help save my soul.
God has blessed me greatly, even though I have pretty much lost my whole family, except for the person named above.
You see, I have mental illness in my family I didnt even know I had. It was good because God is all-knowing and wise. As I write this, tears are running down my face. I had a friend who said, Archie, sometimes you have to lose your whole family to truly find God, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and of course the Holy Spirit.
God truly touched my heart and soul recently, to not only love my neighbor as myself, but to do the hardest thing ever; love and pray for my enemy. He commanded this over and over in a thing called the Bible.
It truly is better to give than receive, its wonderful therapy. Be kind and loving to one another, please.
We are certainly going to Heaven or Hell for eternity – an infinite or unending time. I believe the unbeliever has no clue about the saying from the book and I am quoting this literally. What good is it to gain the whole world, but lose your eternal soul?
We must pray more than ever in these times, to pray for the unbelievers to come to Christ and believe He died for us before its too late, when youve breathed your last breath, but not accepted Jesus as your savior.
Were all imperfect people.
