HURON The Huron Kiwanis club had the privilege of having Heather DeBoer as its guest speaker. DeBoer is the Huron School Districts new Buchanan K-1 Center Principal.
She shared her experience starting as a teacher in Venezuela, then in Pierre, where she was a kindergarten and physical education teacher.
Most recently she has been the principal at two Watertown Schools.
She said shes looking forward to building relationships with the students and staff for the upcoming year.
