Lindsey Brewer and her daughter, Charleigh, of Wessington took first place in the 5-State Breakaway Futurity, which was held recently in Rapid City.
Lindsey turned in a 3.9-second run, while Charleigh wemt 4.1. Both were riding horses born and raised on the Brewer Ranch and then broke and trained by Charleigh.
Charleigh also finished first, second and fourth in the youth competition on three different horses she trained.
