To the Editor:
I understand that lifelong conservative Republicans may disagree with progressive ideas like Medicare for all or free school lunches or a whole host of other ideas. But I cant understand how Republicans chose to nominate a criminal as their candidate for U.S. President.
Not only is Trump a convicted felon, but he has been found to be a sexual predator by a jury of U.S. citizens. Trump is a stranger to the truth as evidenced by his rambling speeches that at times are incoherent and are always full of lies. I can see nothing to recommend this old, hate-filled, fear monger who never admits to any mistakes. He is facing jail time for his criminality and thats just for the crimes for which he has already been tried and convicted. He still faces dozens of felony crimes where the trials have been delayed due to legal maneuvering by his lawyers.
Trump avoided military service during Vietnam – classic draft dodger. Trumps hotels and casino businesses declared bankruptcy six times between 1991 and 2009, bilking his workers out of millions in retirement savings.
While he was President, Trump lied to the American people about the COVID pandemic which resulted in the deaths of so many Americans that the life expectancy actually went down during his presidency. Trump is a criminal and has called for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.
