Something new in the food court

HURON First year growing pains from Jeff Mediger has led to something new and different at his Medis Mac Shack for this years fair.

We were working late into the night last year our first year at the fair doing prep work for the next day and ended up serving some folks late into the morning, Mediger said as he prepared for this weeks fair. So, this year weve decided to just be open 24-hours a day.

That means, that no matter when, you can swing by Medis Mac Shack, located in the State Fair Food Court, and get a hot bowl of mac-and-cheese with your choice of toppings (bacon, taco, BBQ, buffalo chicken or beef brisket) when you get hungry. Medis also offers jumbo hot hogs with the same choice of toppings.

Also this year, Mediger will serve up a selection of breakfast items biscuits and gravy, an egg platter or a breakfast sandwich, beginning at 11:30 and all night, through the following morning.

He said he is also partnering with another Food Court vendor Dough Gold. He is going to open up for breakfast at 7 a.m., Mediger said. He has Jimbos Caramel Knots and coffee for breakfast. So well have savory and hell cover the sweet! Dough Gold also serves up hot, fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies, with milk available, and ice cream the rest of the fair.
