Titans rally in second half to get past Huron

HURON The Huron Tiger boys soccer team dropped a tight 2-1 contest to the Tea Area Titans Thursday afternoon at Tiger Stadium.

Huron led 1-0 at the half, on a goal in the 33rd minute, but Tea got goals in the second half, the last one with two minutes to play to earn the win.

Micah Larson had four saves for the Tigers.

Huron persevered with a 4-2 win in the JV match, on a goal by KTwan Gaw, two goals from Hei Moo Sooy and a goal from Tobias Ramos.

Efrain Cuevas Soto had an assist and Jaxon Andru made four saves in the match.

Tea Area recorded a 10-0 victory against the Tigers in the girls varsity game.

Naw Soe had six saves in the first half and Wai Wai Lin had four saves the second half for Huron.

The Titans also won the JV girls game 10-0.

Kee Ler Paw stopped 12 shots in the opening half for the Tigers, while Win Ni had five saves in the second half.

Huron hosts Brookings on Tuesday, back at Tiger Stadium.
