SIOUX FALLS A late goal lifted Sioux Falls Roosevelt to a 2-1 victory against the Huron boys soccer team on Saturday.
The Rough Riders had the lone goal in the opening half, scoring during the 10th minute.
The Tigers put their lone goal on the board during the 65th minute to even the score at 1-1. Mister Min scored on a pass from Lay Mwe Thaw.
Roosevelt tallied the winning goal during the 78th minute.
Eh Ja Beh Win was in the net for Huron.
We played another great game today, Huron coach Leah Branaugh said. We did a nice job of holding them from scoring, but a mistake at the end of the game cost us.
I have been very happy with freshman Mister Min stepping up and scoring goals in the last three games, she said. Hes been able to find the back of the net and playing some great soccer.
The junior varsity boys game ended in a 3-3 draw.
Tobias Soto Ramos had a pair of goals for Huron, while Hei Moo Soe had the other goal.
Efrain Cuevas Soto had an assist for Huron, while Jaxon Andru had five saves.
Huron will travel to face OGorman at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Girls
Sioux Falls Roosevelt tallied a 10-0 victory against the Huron girls soccer team on Saturday.
Wai Wai Lin recorded 24 saves in the net for the Tigers.
The Rough Riders also won the girls JV game 7-0.
Angela Reyes had 13 saves for Huron in the first half, while Kee Ler Paw had 14 saves in the second half.
The Huron girls will travel to face OGorman at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
