HURON The Huron girls tennis team closed its dual season with a 6-3 victory against Brandon Valley on Monday at Huron Courts.
It was a great win against Brandon Valley, Huron coach Rachel Kary said.
The Tigers won two of the three doubles matches.
AnneClaire Rubish and Ann Hoek held on for a 10-6 victory against Keera Kriech and Claudia Scholten in the No. 1 doubles match and Madeline Kleinsasser and Idella Meyer combined to win the No. 3 doubles match 10-5 against Harper Beatch and Olivia Ericksson.
Earing singles victories for Huron were Rubish at No. 1, Paw Kler Moo at No. 4, Kleinsasser at NO. 5 and Meyer at No. 6.
The Tigers will be back in action on Monday and Tuesday with the Eastern South Dakota Conference Tournament in Watertown.

Huron splits at Aberdeen Invitational
ABERDEEN AnneClaire Rubish picked up a a pair of singles victories for the Huron girls tennis team on Saturday during the Aberdeen Invitational.
As a team, the Tigers emerged with a split in two matches. They defeated Rapid City Central 7-2, but suffered an 8-1 setback against Rapid City Stevens.
Earning singles wins for Huron against Rapid City Central were Rubish at No. 1, Ann Hoek at No. 3, Paw Kler Moo at No. 4 and Ellie Puterbaugh at No. 5.
The Tigers swept the doubles competition. Rubish and Hoek combined to win at No. 1, while Heather Escobar-Reyes and Moo won at No. 2 and Puterbaugh and Mya Shee won at No. 3.
Rubish had the lone victory for Huron against Rapid City Stevens in her No. 1 singles match.
