BRANDON The Huron Tigers cheer and dance teams participated in the Brandon Valley Invite on Tuesday in Brandon.
The host Brandon Valley took first in the dance competition with 269.75 points, defeating Dakota Valley, who finished with 267. Harrisburg finished third with Yankton and Sioux Falls Washington filling out the top five.
Brandon Valley won the pom and jazz competitions. Sioux Falls Washington took the top spot in hip hop.
The Tigers finished with a 188.5 score in jazz and a 197.5 score in hip hop, finishing with an overall score of 193.
Harrisburg edged out Sioux Falls Jefferson for the cheer team title, 288-282.5.
OGorman, Brookings, and Watertown filled out the top five.
The Tigers posted a team score of 196 in cheer with no deductions.
Huron is off until Thursday, Oct. 10, when theyll participate in a competition in Watertown.
