CUMMING, Ga. DeLila Lavon Glanzer, 82, of Cumming, Ga., passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at her residence surrounded by loving caregivers and family.
She was born on July 24, 1942, to Joseph and Adina Tschetter in Huron. She has been a resident of Woodstock, Ga. for 32 years and most recently resided in Cumming.
She lived an adventurous life with her husband of 59 years, Marvin Glanzer, who preceded her in death. Together they lived in seven different states including a two-year stay in France. Each move brought its own challenges but they always settled into a church home that provided a stable foundation for their four children, Selwyn (Sheila) Glanzer, Shawn (Kelly) Glanzer, Marci (Jay) Barr, and Sherlyn (Garth) Tschetter.
DeLila was the warmth of their home. She will be remembered for her prayerful commitment to Christ showing patience, kindness, and goodness to those around her. Her nurturing nature was partnered with a fierce faith. She was supportive and encouraging with a warm smile. Her 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren loved her as Nana.
DeLilas two older brothers preceded her in death, Melvin (Darlene) Tschetter, and Clinton (MaryAnn) Tschetter and she is survived by her younger brother, Larry (Sharon) Tschetter.
