Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 1
FORESTBURG The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks moved to 15-7 with a four-set win over the Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks Tuesday in Forestburg.

Set scores for the Blackhawks were 25-14, 25-11, 22-25, and 25-16.

Sanborn Central/Woonsocket had a tremendous night serving, led by Kaylie Robinson with eight aces. Robinson also had 16 kills and 12 digs.

Addison Bartholow had six aces and six kills while Whitney Hagman had four aces and led the defense with 14 digs.

Kali Hofer had 16 assists and Kenzie Schley pitched in 12 assists. Liz Boschee had seven kills and two blocks.

The Sharks fall to 5-16. Kera Dubro had six kills and three aces. Hadlee Holt had six kills, two aces, and four blocks for the Sharks.

Trinity Pirlet had a tremendous night on defense, with 46 digs.

The Blackhawks travel to Kimball/White Lake Thursday while the Sharks are off until the DVC tournament on Saturday.

Clark/Willow Lake 3, Flandreau 1
WILLOW LAKE – The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones needed four sets to dispatch of the Flandreau Fliers Tuesday in Willow Lake by scores of 25-15, 25-16, 21-25, and 25-11.

The Cyclones move to 14-6 behind 20 kills on 45 of 46 hitting by Shay Michalski. Michalski also had four blocks.

Sami Brenden had 35 assists to set up the offense while Valley Roebke had 17 digs to lead the defense.

Flandreau falls to 6-17. No individual statistics were available.

The Cyclones will travel to Sisseton on Thursday

Wessington Springs 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0
MILLER The Wessington Springs Lady Spartans swept a 281 Conference regular season matchup with the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders Tuesday at the SBA Event Center.

The Lady Spartans move to 12-19 with set scores of 25-17, 25-9, and 25-16.

Ashlyn Weber led Wessington Springs with nine kills on 27 of 39 hitting and also had five aces on 15 of 20 serving. Mariah Messmer had 20 assists and was 15 of 17 serving with two aces.

The Crusaders fall to 0-21. Abby Hinman had two aces on 11 of 13 serving. Dakota Boersma led SBAs attack with eight kills on 11 of 14 hitting while Ciera Mickelson had seven kills on 18 of 19 hitting.

The Crusaders travel to James Valley Christian Thursday while Wessington Springs travels to Wolsey-Wessington in a pair of 281 Conference matchups.

Miller 3, Platte-Geddes 0
MILLER The fourth-ranked Miller Rustlers swept away the Platte-Geddes Black Panthers by scores of 25-11, 25-17, and 27-25 Tuesday in Miller.

Miller moves to 21-1 on the season behind nine kills on 27 of 30 hitting by Paige Werdel. She also had three aces on 14 of 16 serving.

Jolie Palmer led the defense with 13 digs and also had four aces on 21 of 21 serving. Aleah Schlechter had a pair of aces on nine of nine serving and also had nine kills on 14 of 17 hitting.

Olivia Resel had 27 assists for Miller on 89 of 90 setting.

The Black Panthers fall to 9-16. Karly VanDerWerff had eight kills to lead the attack and Halle Sprik paced the defense with 14 digs

The Rustlers will host the Miller Invitational Saturday.

Elkton-Lake Benton 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0
ELKTON – The Elkton-Lake Benton Lady Elks swept past the Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks on Monday at Elkton by scores of 25-15, 25-15, and 25-9.

The Lady Elks move to 9-10 behind 16 kills from Andrea Renkly.

Malyha Slegers had three service aces and also set up the ELB offense with 30 assists.

Charlie Thooft led the Lady Elk defense with eight digs and added a service ace as well.

The Sharks fell to 5-16. Trinity Pirlet had three service aces. Hadlee Holt had 19 digs and a block to lead the ILP defense.

Kera Dubro had six kills to lead the Shark attack.

The Sharks will participate in the Dakota Valley Conference on Saturday.
