HURON – The James Valley Christian Lady Vikings picked up their second win of the year with a 25-14, 25-17, and 25-18 sweep over the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders in 281 Conference action at the JVC gym.
The Lady Vikings move to 2-13 behind five kills and four aces from Addison Kleinsasser.
Eliana Van Scharrel was 13 of 14 serving with three aces and also had three kills.
Dara Olowu-Davies was 40 of 40 setting with 12 assists.
Kaitlyn Stahl led the defense with 14 digs.
The Crusaders fall to 0-22. Dakota Boersma had six kills on 11 of 20 hitting. Natasha Appel was nine of nine serving with two aces.
Abby Hinman and Maylee Backes each had six assists while
Soleil Mickelson led the defense with eight digs.
Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Ipswich 0
TULARE The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots swept the Ipswich Tigers 26-24, 25-8, and 25-23 on Thursday at Tulare.
The Lady Patriots moved to 25-2 behind Katelyn Schroeders 23 kills on 35 of 37 hitting. Lila Johnson was 11 of 12 serving with an ace and also had 23 assists on 53 of 54 setting.
Cambree Hoekman paced the defense with 25 digs.
Marley Guthmiller let the Tigers, now 17-8, with 13 kills on 45 of 51 hitting. Brianna Geditz was 11 of 11 serving with two aces and had 20 digs.
Josie Knutson was 58 of 59 setting with 14 assists and had 11 digs.
Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones 3, Sisseton 0
SISSETON The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones swept past the Sisseton Redmen on Tuesday in Sisseton.
The Cyclones move to 15-6 with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, and 25-18.
Shay Michalski led the Cyclones with 13 kills on 26 of 28 hitting and added three aces on 12 of 14 serving while also collecting four blocks.
Sami Brenden had 39 assists and Kadee Frankfurth led the defense with 18 digs.
Wolsey-Wessington 3, Wessington Springs 0
WOLSEY – The Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds moved to 19-6 with a 25-12, 25-15, and 25-13 sweep of the Wessington Springs Lady Spartans in 281 Conference action in Wolsey.
The Lady Warbirds were led by Samara Clemente with 14 kills on 35 of 38 hitting and seven blocks. Timber Haeder had 11 kills for 24 of 28 hitting, 14 digs, and a pair of aces on 7 of 7 serving.
Kendal Uttecht had 26 assists on 85 of 87 setting. Shae Uttecht had 30 digs and a pair of aces on 10 of 10 serving. Rachel Boomsma had three aces on 14 of 14 serving.
The Lady Spartans fell to 12-10. Mariah Messmer had 25 digs to lead the defense and also had three kills and 10 assists.
Remie Roduner had 21 digs and an ace. Katilyn Braun and Ashlyn Weber each had four kills.
Braun added three blocks.
Kenzie Kolousek had two aces and 11 digs.
The Lady Spartans will participate in the Andes Central tournament on Saturday while the Lady Warbirds will travel to Miller on Monday.
