HURON During public forum comment at Monday evenings Huron City Commission meeting, Mayor Mark Robish thanked the attendees and businesses who participated in Sunday evenings Trunk-or-Treat event in downtown Huron. Robish expressed a special thanks to BX Construction, who put in extra work to ensure the downtown area was primed for the event. More than 1,000 youth attended the event.

Approved seasonal employment for Brenda Luper as skating supervisor, Ehjabeh Win as skating attendant, and Joshua Leachman Jr. as skating attendant for open skate.
Accepted the resignation of Jan Manolis from the Huron Housing Board and appointed Jordan Stricherz to the board position, effective immediately.
Awarded the 2024-2025 propane fuel quote to CHS Alliance of Huron for $1.21 per gallon. The city estimates 30,000 gallons of usage.
Approved a pay request for Midland Contracting for the 4th Street reconstruction project in the amount of $403,310.38.
Approved a quit claim deed and certificate of real estate value to transfer Lot 6, Broadland Creed 2nd Addition to Greater Huron Development Corporation.
Commissioner Rich Bragg read the announcement that the solid waste facility and dump site will not be open on Monday, November 11, due to Veterans Day. All trash and recycling pickup for that day will be rescheduled to Wednesday, November 13.
