Letter – Williams 11-4-24

To the Editor:

Our vote is a strategic choice, about who we wish to have fight about the future of this country. Its not a gift that is automatically given to one candidate.

Ive voted since the early 1970s. There is no one that I agree with totally. Its a sad state of affairs when we turn out for the national candidates and ignore the local candidate. Those elections directly affect us.

When Hilary Clinton ran for president, I took my grandchildren to see how the process works. Now, they are informed and engaged because they choose to be. There is no us against them. Its We the people

We have to take stock of our politics. People should move with caution, and move with care, but never out of fear, no matter the outcome.

Go vote.

For the record, I am a Black man. I have never been offered a bribe from any politician.

Ignorance and rhetoric is what is dividing this country. Period.
