HURON The U.S. Small Business Administrations (SBA) South Dakota District Director Bryson Patterson will join Huron Mayor Mark Robish and Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau President/CEO Laurie Shelton for a tour of several small businesses in Huron today, Nov. 20.
The tour is in advance of Small Business Saturday which encourages shoppers to buy at locally owned small businesses and restaurants. Small Business Saturday, which falls on Nov. 30, highlights the critical importance of supporting main street businesses and restaurants.
Among the downtown Huron businesses scheduled on the tour are Diamond in the Routh Boutique, Dont Spill the beans, Just Fabulous Boutique and Potters Shoes.
Small Business Saturday is not just a day to shop; it is a day to connect, appreciate, and celebrate the unique character of the Huron community.
By choosing to shop small, shoppers directly impact the local economy, help create jobs and foster the growth of local neighborhoods. The SBA encourages South Dakotans to recognize the importance small businesses play in local communities.
