HHS Science
Mrs. Fuchss High School Biology and Anatomy & Physiology students are diving into exciting science topics.

In Biology, students are wrapping up an intro to Chemistry and will soon explore cells the basic building blocks of life. Theyll learn about cell anatomy and follow the journey from a single cell to a complete organism. Later, theyll dive into heredity to see how traits are passed down, connecting it to their own family traits. This unit wraps up with a look at genetic disorders, where students will explore their causes and possible treatments.

In Anatomy, students are studying the bones, cartilage, and joints that make up the human skeleton. This hands-on learning helps them appreciate the incredible complexity of the human body.

Mrs. Fuchss classes make meaningful connections to the world around them, giving students a well-rounded view of the life sciences. Parents are encouraged to ask their kids about what theyre learningits a great way to keep the excitement going outside the classroom.

Heres to a year full of scientific exploration and discovery, bringing the wonders of the natural world to life in our classrooms!

HMS Art
Sixth graders are learning about the elements of line and creating visual textures. After practicing drawing many different textures students will create a texture critter by applying five different visual textures to its form.

Seventh-grade art students have finished the Vincent Van Gogh unit. Students learned how to layer oil pastels on construction paper to create a replica of Van Goghs Starry Night. They have been busy with the clay unit the past week.They create coil pots and a project of choice.

Eighth graders have been working on their paper mch candy bags. Students can choose the candy they want to draw and paint on their bag. Soon they will be working on enlarging a picture and drawing it on a grid.

Madison 2-3 Center
Second graders at Madison 2-3 Center have been busy this quarter learning all about patterns in nature with information text features in reading along with long vowel teams.

In math, the students have been learning strategies to add and subtract and are excited to dive into double digit addition and subtraction.

In Project Lead the Way, students learned how to be computer programmers while learning how to use coding.
