Alley Cat Spay & Neuter holds dart tournament fundraiser

Alley Cat Spay & Neuter Mission had a dart tournament fundraiser that was held on Saturday, Nov. 30,hosted by Hursts Corner in Huron.

The tournament had 24 teams total that participated in the dart tournament Each team consisted of two players with the top three teams winning prize money.

All three teams donated a portion of their winnings back to Alley Cat. In addition to the dart tournament there was food at the event for a freewill donation and also a bake sale and a 50/50 drawing.

Modern Woodman donated a match up to $1,500 for this event, and that goal was achieved. Alley Cat Spay & Neuter Mission is a non-profit 501C3 with a mission to TNR (Trap/Neuter/Return) feral and community cats in Huron and surrounding areas.

To date, with just a little over a year since starting, Alley Cat has trapped and fixed 253 cats. Alley Cat also pushed to get the state statute changed and succeeded in making TNR legal in S.D. Alley Cat is a small group of volunteers with big dreams of making a difference in the lives of outdoor cats.
