Ten members of the Iroquois FCCLA Chapter attended the Region V Meeting in Brookings on Thursday, showcasing their skills and leadership in a variety of competitive events.
The event marked a special milestone for Emma Eckmann, who completed her term as Region V Treasurer. Her dedication and service to the organization were celebrated by fellow members and advisors.
Junior high members courageously tackled one of the most intimidating challenges public speaking through professional presentations. Their efforts earned impressive results:
Clarissa Hansonbrought home a bronzeaward.
Zoe Fernandez-Floresachieved gold.
Connor Dant, Tristan Konshak, and Trae Hagencollectively earned silver.
In the high school division, the Knowledge Bowl team showcased their intellect and teamwork, claiming the championship title.
The winning team included Emma Eckmann, Chenoa Harris, Madi Burma, Kali Burma and Lorna Bult. They now advance to the State competition in April, where they will compete for top honors.
The Iroquois FCCLA Chapter is led by adviser Vicki Dant, who supports and encourages students in their pursuit of excellence, leadership, and personal growth. Congratulations to all members on their achievements!
