SIOUX FALLS Lois Marie Aye, 95, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Alpena, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024 at Diamond Care Center in Bridgewater.
Lois was born August 27, 1929, to William and Rose (Lehr) Daleske and grew up on their farm southwest of Alpena. She attended grade school at Dale Center, high school in Alpena and Northwest College of Commerce in Huron.
On November 20, 1948, Lois was united in marriage to Roger Aye in Alpena where they lived until moving to Sioux Falls in 2007. They were married for 68 years.
Lois was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Alpena.
Grateful for having shared her life are her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and LeRoy Lydic of Sioux Falls; and sisters Geneva Plate and Luella Longcor of Huron. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Ethel and Ray Giffin, and brothers-in-law Lloyd Plate and Arlo Longcor.
Funeral services were held and interment was at Rest Haven Cemetery in Alpena.
