CARPENTER Charles Dick Brede, 88, died Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Huron Regional Medical Center.
Charles Richard Brede was born February 10, 1936, to Tony and Hilda (Edwards) Brede in Doland. He attended school in Doland and was the first of five children. On April 8, 1965, he was united in marriage to Sherry Board from Carpenter, where they resided all of their married lives. To this union, five children were born, Brad, Stacey, Brent, Joel and Troy. During his life, he worked at Farmers Union, Cenex and South Dakota Wheat Growers until he retired.
Once retired, Dick loved to help his wife Sherry in the caf and visit with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry, sons Troy and Brent with wife Stephanie, all of Carpenter, daughter Stacey and her husband Rick of Beaver Lake, NE, his sister June Litton of KS, along with his grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, his brother Tom, sisters Nancy and Judy, and two sons, Joel and Brad.
Interment will be held at Richland Township Cemetery at a later date.
Furness Funeral Home of Clark is assisting the family with arrangements.
