HURON Judging has finished for the 2024-25 Christmas Tree Exhibition at the Huron Event Center. The annual event is up slightly from last year, with 21 businesses and organizations being represented.
The event is conducted by the Huron Area Arts Council and the Event Center is available for viewing at any time.
Five prizes are awarded each year. Two classes are represented, General and Youth, and awards are given for beauty and originality in each class. Ruling over them all is the Best in Show winner who compiles the highest score in all classes and categories.
The Huron Area Master Gardeners took the top honor this year. This group consistently provides some of the best exhibits.
The General Class had the First Presbyterian Church taking the top honor for Beauty and Huron Public Library being chosen as the Most Original.
There were only five entrants in the Youth Class this year and the Most Beautiful honor was awarded to the Hitchcock-Tulare Elementary School. This school has only recently begun participating but has been a regular winner.
The Originality award will go to the Beadle Bops 4-H Club, also a reliable winner.
Those wishing to express their likes for the exhibit may check them out at the Huron Area Arts Council Facebook page.
