HURON Sunshine Bible Academy earned its first win of the season on Friday with a 35-25 victory against James Valley Christian.
The Crusaders built a 20-12 lead at the half and led 28-14 heading into the final quarter.
Breanna Thieman had 11 points to lead SBA. Cierra Mickelson had seven points, while Abby Hinman and Soleil Mickelson each had six points.
Addison Kleinsasser, Janiyah Waldner and Dara Olowu-Davies each had six points for the Lady Vikings, who are now 0-2.
James Valley Christian will face Jones County in the opening game of the Huron Holiday Classic at 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 28 at Huron Arena.
Sunshine Bible Academy is now off until hosting Wessington Springs on Jan. 9.
