To the editor:
Im looking at a letter written by Michael Busch on April 1, 2022, where he states that Biden has caused the gas prices to jump to $5.00, and will be going up. Is this true? I just filled our car for $2.52. I would say he brought the prices down ,wouldnt you?
Mr. Busch claims that Mr. Flowers and myself are spreading misinformation about the rate of inflation. I have an idea, since most everyone has access to the Internet by computer or smart phone, lets find out if its the 19.7% he said it was in October, or the 19.9% that he states it is in December, or the far lower percentage that we claim. Lets all jump on our devices, and type what is the current rate of inflation?
Ill bet you will get an answer of approximately 2.7%. So, who is misinforming you? If he cant get something as simple as that correct, what else has he been lying about? That Trump knew nothing of Project 25? We know that to be false, as he picked the writers to be on his team. That Trump cares for the lower, and middle class when he gives huge tax breaks to his million, and billionaire friends? He proposed to cut disability benefits of a quarter-million low-income children. He tried to enact a rule that would allow employers to pocket workers tips. Just a couple examples of his helping the lower, and middle class.
The Trumpster just loves the word tariff. What is a tariff? Its nothing more than a tax one country places on another. What does it do? It makes the price of the goods to go up, and who pays for the increased prices? Well, that is the consumer. You and I.
