HURON Clark/Willow Lake remained unbeaten with a 52-40 victory against Howard, which shared the fifth spot in the latest Class B rankings, in the final game of the Huron Holiday Classic on Monday at Huron Arena.
The Cyclones outscored Howard 14-6 in the opening quarter and maintained the 8-point spread by heading into the half with a 27-19 advantage.
Clark/Willow Lake widened the gap with a 14-9 effort in the third quarter and carried a 41-28 lead into the final quarter.
Emmerson Larson had 16 points, including three of the teams five 3-pointers, to lead the Cyclones, who improved to 4-0. Chris Bevers also reached double figures with 14 points, while Bo Begeman and Sullivan Felberg added nine and eight points, respectively.
Felberg also had 12 rebound to help Clark/Willow Lake to a 35-27 advantage on the boards. He also had three assists to go along with three from Jakob Steen and Griffin Musser had a pair of steals.
Howard had three players in double figures with Luke Koepsell leading the way with 14 points. Carson Hinker and Kolt Becker added 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Koepsell also snagged a team-high nine rebounds and had two assists for the Tigers, who are now 3-2. Becker recorded four steals.
Clark/Willow Lake will host Groton Area in Clark on Jan. 10. Howard will host Freeman on Friday.
