Highmore-Harrold 60, Wessington Springs 50
HIGHMORE Highmore-Harrold recorded its third straight win with a 60-50 victory against Wessington Springs in a 281 Conference matchup on Saturday.
The Pirates led 16-8 after the opening quarter, but were outscored 22-12 in the second quarter and trailed 30-28 at the half.
Using a 14-6 run in the third quarter, Highmore-Harrold regained control and pulled away in the final quarter.
Jada Baloun had 16 points to lead four players in double figures for the Pirates, who improved to 5-1. Addison McDonnell had 13 points, while Autumn Fallis and Elle Stagg each had 11 points.
Baloun also had a team-high seven rebounds for Highmore-Harrold. Fallis had five assists.
Indvidual results were not available for Wessington Springs
Highmore-Harrold plays at Stanley County on Tuesday. Wessington Springs, which is now 2-3, plays at Sunshine Bible Academy on Thursday.

IROQUOIS With four players in double figures, Iroquois/Lake Preston defeated Highmore-Harrold 67-55 in a 281 Conference matchup on Friday.
The Sharks, who improved to 3-3, outscored Highmore-Harrold 24-6 in the second quarter to build a 36-16 lead at the half.
Lucas Peskey had a game-high 23 points to lead Iroquois/Lake Preston. Ervin Carter had 15 points, while Daunte Glanzer and Peyton Hope had 12 and 10 points, respectively.
Carter had a team-high 10 rebounds for the Sharks. Peskey had three assists and two steals.
Caleb Roth had 17 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, to lead Highmore-Harrold, which is now 1-2. Miles McPeak also reached double figures with 10 points, while Aidan Ferens and Brooks McPeak added nine and eight points, respectively.
Both teams return to action on Tuesday. Iroquois/Lake Preston plays Hitchcock-Tulare in Hitchcock, while Highmore-Harrold travels to Stanley County.
