WILLOW LAKE The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones rebounded from their first loss of the season with a 72-34 victory over the Webster Area Bearcats on Saturday in Willow Lake.
Emmerson Larson led the Cyclones, now 6-1, with 18 points and six rebounds. Chris Bevers and Bo Begeman each had 15 points. Sully Felberg also grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists.
The Bearcats fall to 2-7. Ian Lesnar led the way with 15 points. Jack Shoemaker had seven rebounds.
The Cyclones will host Castlewood, ranked No. 1 in Class B, on Tuesday in Willow Lake.

WESSINGTON SPRINGS The Wessington Springs Spartans, who were receiving votes in the most recent Class B poll, came away with a 66-61 victory over the Ethan Rustlers on Friday in Wessington Springs.
The Spartans move to 5-1 on the season behind 25 points and 13 rebounds from Colby Flowers. Flowers also had six assists for Wessington Springs before fouling out.
Karter Mebius added 11 points before he fouled out. Sam Poncelow and Parker Graff chipped in nine points apiece.
Ethan fell to 5-4. No individual statistics were available for the Rustlers.
The Spartans travel to Plankinton to play Mount Vernon/Plankinton Tuesday.
Deubrook Area 81, James Valley Christian 78
WHITE The Deubrook Area Dolphins were able to outlast the James Valley Christian Vikings in overtime on Friday, 81-78, at Deubrook Area High School.
Deubrook (5-4)was led by Isaac Gass with 32 points. Josh Moberg chipped in 24 points.
The Vikings fall to 2-3 despite 27 points from Jerrad Wallman. Tayne Herrmann dropped in 18 points and Jayven Van Scharrel added 15 points.
The Vikings host Oldham/Ramona-Rutland on Tuesday.

TULARE A 20-10 outburst in the second quarter gave the Faulkton Area Trojans the lead on Friday and they never looked back, defeating the Hitchcock-Tulare Patriots 56-39 in Tulare.
The Trojans move to 3-4 behind 17 points from Korbin Stark. Trey Machtemes added 15 points and Gian DiMaria chipped in 11 points.
The Patriots fall to 1-5. Devin Enander led the way with 13 points and Patrick Maynard added 12 points.
Hitchcock-Tulare travels to Warner Tuesday.

CLARK In a thriller, the Groton Area Tigers mounted a big second-half comeback and put in the winning basket with 30 seconds left to defeat the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones 49-48 Friday in Clark and give the Cyclones their first loss on the season.
The Tigers run their win streak to four games and their overall record to 5-2. Ryder Johnson scored 19 points to lead Groton, with Gage Sippel and Karson Zak adding 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Sippel and Becker Bosma each grabbed four rebounds to lead the Tigers.
The Cyclones fall to 5-1 after receiving votes in the most recent Class A poll. Sully Fellberg led the way with 17 points, with Bo Begeman adding 11 and Emmerson Larson chipping in 10 for Clark/Willow Lake.
Chris Bevers led the Cyclones with seven rebounds.
Clark/Willow Lake hosts Class B top-ranked Castlewood on Tuesday.

ARLINGTON Grant Wilkinsons 22-point, 20-rebound effort paced the De Smet Bulldogs to a 60-45 victory Friday over the Arlington Cardinals in Arlington.
De Smet moves to 3-4 as Noah Luethmers added 12 points and Ganon Henrich ripped down 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
Arlington fell to 1-5 despite a game-high 25 points from Paxton Rheault. Leilan Farstad grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Cardinals.
The Bulldogs will host defending state champion Howard on Tuesday.

PARKSTON The Parkston Trojans, ranked No. 2 in Class B in the most recent rankings, jumped out to a 38-14 lead in the first half en route to a 58-27 victory over the Miller Rustlers Saturday in Parkston.
The Trojans, now 8-0, were led by Lauren Ziebart with 14 points. Berkley Ziebart and Mya Thuringer each added 11 points. Keeara Oakley grabbed eight rebounds.
Miller falls to 5-2. Paige Werdel led the Rustlers with eight points while Madelyn Saienga grabbed a game-high eight rebounds.
