Bonilla artwork on display at Capitol

Governor Kristi Noem announced 12 students who are being recognized for their artistic talents through the Governors Student Art Competition.

An exhibition of the artwork is now open to the public in the South Dakota Capitol building.

The Governors Student Art Exhibition includes work from kindergarten student Mia Bonilla of Iroquois, who attends the Buchanan K-1 Center in Huron.

A panel of nine professional artists served as judges for the competition.

The Governors Student Art Exhibition is open for viewing on the first-floor rotunda of the Capitol through September. The Capitol is open to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For tours of the State Capitol, please call 605-773-3688.
