DWU announces winners from Fall Scholarship Day

MITCHELL Dakota Wesleyan University has announced fall scholarship winners from high school senior classes.

Thirty-four high school seniors competed in November for the universitys most prestigious scholarships as part of DWUs Fall Scholarship Day on Nov. 22. Area students receiving scholarships include:

Randall Scholarship (dual credit) winners include Tayne Herrman of Wolsey, a senior at James Valley Christian High School in Huron, son of Stan and Kim Herrmann. To qualify students must have at least a 3.7 GPA, the scholarship is $25,000 per year.

John Wesley Scholarship (dual credit) winners include Luke Koepsell of Howard, son of Nick and Tonya Koepsell. To qualify students must have at least a 3.7 GPA, the scholarship is for $13,000 to $14,750 and is renewable for up to 10 semesters.

Trustee Scholarship (dual credit) winners include Olivia Thompson of Huron, daughter of Michelle Hohn and Ray Polfus. To qualify students must have at least a 3.5 GPA. The award is for $12,000 to $13,750 and is renewable for up to 10 semesters.
