FLANDREAU The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones picked up a road victory Saturday, 55-43, over the Flandreau Fliers.

The Cyclones were led by Chris Bevers with 17 points. Bo Begeman added 10 points.

The Fliers fell to 4-4 despite a game-high 22 points from Paul Parsley. Luke Sheppard added 11 points.

Clark/Willow Lake (8-2) will host Aberdeen Roncalli Thursday at Clark.

Luverne 67, De Smet 50
COLMAN The Luverne Cardinals used excellent outside shooting to build a 30-point lead in the first half over the De Smet Bulldogs and held on for a 67-50 victory in the Dakota Valley Conference Classic at Colman-Egan High School.

The Cardinals move to 7-7 on the year behind 11 three-point baskets, including six from leading scorer Carter Sehr, who bucketed 26 points, dished out six assists and nabbed seven steals.

Landon Ahrendt added 16 points for Luverne while Jaydon Johnson led the team with eight rebounds.

De Smet falls to 4-5 despite 22 points and 11 rebounds from Grant Wilkinson. Noah Luethmers and Carter Wilkinson each added 11 points.

The Bulldogs travel to Hamlin Tuesday.

REDFIELD The Faulkton Area Trojans jumped out to a 19-10 lead after the first quarter and never looked back, defeating the Redfield Pheasants 68-44 Saturday at the Redfield Pheasant Shoot-Out.

Spencer Melius bucketed 23 points for the Trojans, now 4-6. Korbin Stark had 16 points, Trey Machtemes 12, and Carter Hall put in 11 points in a balanced Faulkton attack.

The Pheasants fall to 0-7. Grady Hulscher had 14 points and Ruben Alvarez had 12 points for Redfield.

Redfield hosts Mount Vernon/Plankinton on Tuesday.

WILLOW LAKE The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones rebounded from a Tuesday loss in a big way, running out to a 41-12 halftime lead before settling in for a 59-36 victory over the Deuel Cardinals Friday in Willow Lake.

Sully Felberg had a big game for the Cyclones (7-2) with 15 points. Bo Begeman had 11 points and a game-high eight rebounds.

The Cardinals, now 7-2, were led by Gabe Sather with 15 points and Troy Jenson with 10 points. Caleb Ronne grabbed five rebounds.

The Cyclones will travel to Flandreau today.

MITCHELL The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots were on the short side of a 20-11 first quarter against the Harding County Ranchers and could never recover, falling 47-40 at the Hanson Classic at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.

Harding County remains undefeated at 8-0 behind 15 points from Bailey Verhulst and 10 points and five rebounds from Kaylen Padden.

The Lady Patriots were led by Gracyn Bixler with 12 points and Emmerie Arthurs with 10 points.

Katelyn Schroeder had nine points and a game-high eight rebounds.

Hitchcock-Tulare faces Highmore-Harrold Monday in 281 Conference championship semifinal action at Huron Arena.

FLANDREAU The Flandreau Fliers defeated the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones in girls basketball action Saturday by the score of 41-40 in Flandreau.
Both teams are 8-3.

Morgan Sheppard led Flandreau with 21 points while also grabbing five rebounds and snagging five steals. Sadie Iott added 11 points and had eight rebounds.

The Cyclones were led by Brynn Roehrich with 13 points. Shelby Begeman had nine points.

The Cyclones host Great Plains Lutheran tonight in Willow Lake.
