The Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds scored 19 in the third quarter to take control of the game and defeated the Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks for the 281 Conference girls consolation championship by the score of 43-31 at Huron Arena.
The Lady Warbirds move to 5-6 as Shae Uttecht led the way with 15 points. Kendal Uttecht added 10 points.
The Sharks (3-9) were led by Hadlee Holt with 10 points. Kera Dubro added nine points.
Holt also had six rebounds and six steals for I/LP.
Wolsey-Wessington will host Potter County Saturday. The Sharks are back in action Thursday on the road at Castlewood.

Seventh Place – Sunshine Bible Academy 38, James Valley Christian 31
After trailing at half, the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders took control to claim seventh place in the 281 Conference girls tournament with a 38-31 victory over the James Valley Christian Lady Vikings Thursday morning at Huron Arena.
The Crusaders picked up their second victory of the season, both coming over JVC, behind 13 points and 12 steals from Abby Hinman. Tessa Hinman added nine, and Breanna Thieman chipped in eight points for SBA, now 2-7.
Ciera Mickelson grabbed nine rebounds to pace the Crusaders.
The Lady Vikings (0-9) were led by Addison Kleinsasser and Janiyah Waldner with 10 points apiece.
The Crusaders are back in action Saturday, traveling to Leola/Frederick Area. JVC travels to Miller on Thursday.
