WESSINGTON SPRINGS The Wessington Springs Lady Spartans used a big second quarter to take a 28-9 lead to halftime and never looked back, winning 54-20 over the James Valley Christian Lady Vikings in 281 Conference regular season action Friday in Wessington Springs.
Neither team had a double-digit scorer as the Lady Spartans (9-11) were led by Addy Orth, Kaitlyn Braun, and Kenzie Kolousek, each with eight points.
Autumn Stahl bucketed eight points to lead the Lady Vikings, who finish the regular season 0-18.
Both teams begin postseason play next week.

DE SMET The De Smet Bulldogs jumped out to a 20-5 lead after one quarter on the way to a 62-29 victory Friday over the Oldham-Ramona-Rutland Raiders in De Smet.
The Bulldogs finish the regular season 12-8 behind 21 points from Slayten Wilkinson. Grand Wilkinson had 10 points and nine rebounds while Ganon Henrich added 11 points.
Samuel Gigov led De Smet with 10 rebounds.
The Raiders were led by Boyd Pooler with 13 points. Lucas Wall grabbed eight rebounds to lead ORR, now 3-16.
De Smet is off until the postseason begins.

WOLSEY Caleb Richmond and Moshe Richmond had 17 and 16 points, respectively, to lead Wolsey-Wessington to a 72-41 victory in a 281 Conference matchup with Hitchcock-Tulare on Thursday.
The Warbirds, who improved to 14-4, led 14-7 after the opening quarter and carried a 36-12 advantage into the second half.
Colin Hughes also reached double figures for Wolsey-Wessington with 10 points, while Lars Tvedt, Isaiah Sabalier and Sawyer Nelson each had six points.
Hitchcock-Tulare, which is now 5-13, was led by Patrick Maynard and Devin Enander with 14 and 13 points, respectively. Kaiden Weinries had a pair of 3 pointers for six points, while Aiden Frankenstein had five points.
Both teams return to action today at the Warner Classic. Hitchcock-Tulare plays Jones County at 1 p.m., while Wolsey-Wessington faces Mobridge-Pollock at 4 p.m.

LAKE PRESTON McCoy Schulz had a game-high 24 points to lead Sanborn Central/Woonsocket to a 65-48 victory against Iroquois/Lake Preston in a 281 Conference matchup on Thursday.
After both teams were deadlocked at 15-15 to start the second quarter, the Blackhawks, who improved to 12-7, opened a 28-24 lead at the half.
Landon Jensen also reached double figures with 14 points for Sanborn Central/Woonsocket. Grant Edwards and Bryce Larson added nine and seven points, respectively.
Lucas Peskey had 17 points to lead three players in double figures for Iroquois/Lake Preston, which is now 7-12. Daunte Glanzer and Carter Arbeiter had 12 and 11 points, respectively.
Peskey and Arbeiter shared the rebounding honors for the Sharks with eight boards each. Peskey also had two assists and a pair of steals, while Brycen Blue had a pair of steals.
Both teams close the regular season on Friday. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket faces Wessington Springs in Forestburg, while Iroquois/Lake Preston travels to play Sunshine Bible Academy.
