WATERTOWN The Huron Tigers found themselves down after the first quarter but used a big second-quarter push to defeat the Watertown Arrows 57-52 Friday in Watertown.
Huron only outscored Watertown in one quarter in the game, outpacing the Arrows 16-7 in the second quarter, but it was enough as free throws down the stretch sealed the victory.
Huron moves to 13-5 behind 24 points and 10 rebounds from Blake Ellwein. Davis Chase and Anderson Porisch each chipped in 10 points.
The Arrows were led by Jackson McClemans with 13 points. Carter Buisker came off the bench to add 11. Isaac Rehorst hauled in five rebounds for Watertown, now 5-13.
The Tigers are back in action on the road Tuesday against fourth-ranked OGorman before coming home for the season finale against No. 3 Brandon Valley Friday.
