RAPID CITY Doland seniors Kyla Logan and Reganne Miles closed their high school careers by finishing third at the State Girls Wrestling Tournament on Saturday at the Monument.
Logan used a in against Reese Olson of Beresford/Alcester-Hudson to end her final match at 138 pounds in the first period at 1:57. She finished the season at 37-12.
Miles capped a 38-10 season with a 3-0 decision against Lilly Nelson of Aberdeen Central at 165.
Doland was tied for 13th in the final team standings with 38 points.
Pierre amassed 137.5 points to win the girls state championship, while Canton was second at 107. Rounding out the top five were Harrisburg at 95, Watertown at 94 and Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon at 86.5.
Sophomore Chalie Sah was seventh for Huron at 107. She finished the season at 36-11.
Seventh-grader Hailey Schafer was seventh at 100 for Miller/Highmore-Harrold. She finished the season at 33-16.
Sophomore Hadley Gjerde was eighth for Clark/Willow Lake at 114. She ended the season at 16-23.
